Let me introduce you on this gorgeous Brisbane morning to our oh-so-lovely Hair and Make Up Artist – Ash. One of life’s truly beautiful souls.
I had no idea when I decided to launch Heather Burberry Portraits, that the biggest hurdle I’d have to climb would be the search for a Hair and Make Up Artist. I naively assumed I’d do a little Googling, a little emailing, a little interviewing and a few days later ta-da….I’d have myself an amazing Artist. But no. It took months. Literally months. Four to be precise, before I found the perfect fit for our team.
I’ve lost count of the number of women who have said to me after their shoot that she’s very cool and the kinda gal you just want to hang out with. It’s so true! She’s the perfect balance of warm, friendly, fun and professional. Yup, the search took time…but it was totally worth it.
OK, so how about a little Q&A to wrap up with??
Have a great weekend!
What advice would you give your younger self if you could go back in time?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. (I definitely DO sweat the small stuff so if I could have learned this earlier maybe I wouldn’t be such a stress head now?!)
What do you think about in your car?
I think about all the things I need to get done that day and then I usually forget half of them because I play really loud music and sing along!
What was the last gift you gave?
A bunch of flowers.
When have you felt most satisfied?
When completing tasks that I have set for myself especially if they’re personal goals.
What’s your superpower or spirit animal?
I definitely don’t have a superpower but if I could choose one it would be healing. My spirit animal is a penguin. Weird right?!
What’s your proudest moment?
The births of my two children.
What’s been your greatest challenge?
Tell us about your favourite childhood memory.
Climbing a macadamia tree in my backyard with my two brothers.
What’s been your best life lesson?
Love is the answer to everything.
If you had to eat just one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Acai bowl with ALL the toppings!
Name three things you’d take to a desert island.
My husband, vodka and music!
Be sure to check back next week when Ash will be debuting her first blog post!
